Edit: Title change and uploaded a much better photograph taken with my new camera.

This is kind of like a tribute to him (Kyo of Dir en Grey), the lyrics he's written, an artist study of Albrecht Durer's style of printmaking, and also a lot of self expression was poured into this piece. If you know lyrics and PV's you'll recognize a lot from this, or at least get some of the references, there's really only one or two things that aren't a reference to their music but could probably be A small part of self expression in this is something that irks me horribly...being touched...I seriously can't stand it, so it's a passive type of struggling type point in this picture.

Around 40 hours(?), .5 mechanical pencil for the sketch, .8 and .5 uni-ball black pen, and PhotoShop CS2. Reference used on some tattoo's, only for the sake of some accuracy.

Rambling Artist Note, don't bother if you aren't interested, this is mainly for myself, or if someone decides to want to...know something about me? Even if you do know me, you've never heard me say much of anything like this anyway, so here goes.

I started this before I went to the concert, and I have to say I have the utmost respect for him over anyone else I've ever said I "respected". I don't love him...saying such things are hopeless and fangirly if you were to ask me (it doesn't matter who it is), because love without respect can be hollow, damaging, and blind...and I'd never say I could really love someone to start with because of who/how I am. There are these little strange things I can relate to, I know everyone says that, but it's extremely rare if I ever do. I have never met anyone else who was the same way on such minute details as this, or at least, to such a strange extent and I probably never will. I have admiration for how his mind works, who he is, and the fact that he puts everything he has into every concert. All of this and more is what fuels my respect for him, and my artistic motivation for this piece...knowing I'm not as alone as I think, and having some unwavering concrete foundation (their music) to inspire me. In a way I could say I'm lost, but know exactly where I am...
DON'T act like you know what I'm talking about, because not all of it is even clear to me so, please, don't assume.
